The announcement that Google is closing Google Business Profile websites has prompted many customers to ask us how they may convert their site to WordPress before the service is permanently shut down.

Google will take down more than 21.7 million websites built using Google Business Profiles in March 2024. This is the latest example of Google eliminating products and services.

If you’re one of the users who may be impacted by this move, now is an excellent moment to migrate your website.

In this article, we will show you how to move your google website to another platform

When you create a Google Business Profile, you have the opportunity to add a website. Previously, if you didn’t have a website, Google would let you construct a free single-page site right away.

Users who seek for your brand in a local search will discover a full business profile that includes a website, operating hours, retail locations, directions, phone numbers, and other information.

However, Google is phasing off Business Profile sites in March 2024. When the service ends, users will be automatically redirected to your Business Profile page.

Unfortunately, the redirection will only be effective until June 10, 2024. People who access your website after this date will receive a ‘page not found’ error.

This can have a negative impact on your business because it will appear less professional. Furthermore, customers will be unable to get specific information about your company, products, and services.

As a result, your conversion rates may suffer, and you may lose consumers to competition.

That’s why you should look for an alternative to Google Site. This post has a ready-made solution for you, so don’t panic.

The first step in saving your website is to create a backup. Now the question is, “How do you backup your Google website?”

How To Backup Your Google Website

While there is no official way to backup your Google Website, there are methods you may use to save the website’s contents and files so that you do not lose anything completely.

You can save your Google webpage as a pdf file.

You can also create a folder and save the photographs on your website there, while copying the texts into a separate document file.

To save the website, select the ‘save as’ option.

For a more detailed description of how to approach this, read this article on ‘How to Save Web Pages on your Devices’

    What you need to do

Businesses wanting to maintain their own website have to create a new website using alternative tools, then update their Business Profile with the new site address before the deadline to ensure a smooth transition.
